This is an OMG recipe. Recently, on Food Network, I saw a chef recommend making baked butternut squash french fries.
This is what I did, and I had to modify the placement of the cut squash fries because my husband cannot eat anything too crunchy:
- Wash the squash.
- Cut into sections.
- Sliced the skin off. (Be careful with that knife.)
- Cut the squash the desired length and width for fries.
- On a larger pan and more room to spread the squash fries, drizzle with extra virgin olive oil.
- Sprinkle salt and desire spices.
- Mix well.
- Place into a preheated 400 degree oven for 40-50 minutes, depending on placement of oven racks.
